香港赛马会 for Council Tax Support

To claim Council Tax Support you will need to submit a claim using our online application form.

You will need (for yourself and everyone in your household):

  • personal information
  • income and capital details
  • tenancy, rent and benefit details听

If you have all of this information the application should usually take between 30 minutes to one hour. You can save and return to complete your application using a reference number.听

Universal Credit does not include an amount for Council Tax.

For new claimants who claim Universal Credit for the first time and also indicated that they want to claim Council Tax Support, the council should receive electronic notifications confirming the Universal Credit award. The council will accept these electronic notifications as an application for Council Tax Support and will automatically award any entitlement to Council Tax Support that is due.听

For existing Universal Credit claimants, who have not just claimed Universal Credit for the first time, you must still claim Council Tax Support directly from the council and submit an application form.听If you are unsure please continue to make an application separately.

If you do not have internet access libraries are equipped with self service computers which residents can use to access the internet.

If you are unable to make a claim or attend the library due to ill health, and you need assistance from our visiting and welfare team, you can email your name, address and telephone number to听visitingandwelfareemails@lbbd.gov.uk听and a member of our team will contact you.

The personal information we collect from you will be shared with fraud prevention agencies who will use it to prevent fraud and money-laundering and to verify your identity. If fraud is detected, you could be refused certain services, finance, or employment.
