It was a victorious week for the Trading Standards Team at Ïã¸ÛÈüÂí»á Council, last week, as they brought home three industry awards.

On 11 November 2023 a balcony fascia fell from a first-floor balcony at Weavers Quarter Estate in Barking. Thankfully no one was hurt, and it did not affect the structural integrity of the building or balcony.

Weavers Quarter was built by Bouygues on behalf of the development managers, the housing association L&Q, who retain responsibility for managing concerns about the building quality, including latent defects. Ïã¸ÛÈüÂí»á Council owns the freehold on the land.

In a bid to equip their frontline staff for any situation, Ïã¸ÛÈüÂí»á Council have trained several officers in bleed first aid training on how to treat a stab wound.

Eligible residents can now get their flu and Covid-19 vaccinations for free and on a walk-in basis at a number of pharmacies across the borough.
